Grey’s Anatomy – NET Featured on TV

In Season 15, Episode 22 (“Head Over High Heels”), Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) is featured when Owen Shepherd undergoes a session with a therapist—portrayed by one of the show's own writers. This emotional scene honors the writer’s real-life NET practitioner, who had recently passed away.

The episode powerfully demonstrates how NET helps uncover and resolve deep emotional blocks by "listening to the body," supporting internal healing even when external circumstances remain unchanged.

Marie Forleo & Dr. Sara Gottfried Discuss the Transformative Benefits of NET

In this compelling interview, bestselling author and coach Marie Forleo chats with Dr. Sara Gottfried, a hormone health expert, about the transformative effects of NET. Dr. Gottfried, who encountered NET through her work at Thomas Jefferson University, explains how this integrative approach blends Traditional Chinese Medicine with therapeutic cues to address emotional trauma.

Drawing from her own healing journey during a difficult divorce, Dr. Gottfried shares how NET helped her find emotional relief. She also highlights its impact on cancer survivors, especially in helping them release trauma tied to their diagnosis and recovery.

Brain imaging studies further support NET’s effects—showing changes in regions like the cerebellum and brainstem, which are tied to trauma processing.

New Research: NET’s Impact on Chronic Pelvic Pain

We’re excited to share groundbreaking research published in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology showing how NET can benefit women suffering from chronic pelvic pain, a condition that often includes emotional distress, anxiety, and depression.

Study Overview:

The randomized controlled trial involved 26 women diagnosed with chronic pelvic pain. They were split into two groups: one receiving NET and the other placed on a waitlist. Using functional MRI (fMRI), researchers assessed brain activity, pain levels, and emotional distress before and after the intervention.

Key Findings:

  • Significant reductions in pain intensity, pain interference, anxiety, and depression in the NET group
  • Notable functional connectivity changes in brain regions like the amygdala, cerebellum, and postcentral gyrus
  • Improved emotional and sensory processing in the brain

Why This Matters:

These results suggest that NET doesn’t just help manage pain—it changes the way the brain processes pain and emotions. For many, this could mean lasting relief not just physically, but emotionally.

The study offers a promising foundation for future clinical trials and further recognition of NET as a powerful, science-backed intervention for emotional and physical health.

As NET continues to make its mark in both the media and the scientific world, we're reminded of the incredible power of the mind-body connection. Whether it's being spotlighted on primetime television, discussed by leading health experts, or validated through clinical research, NET is paving the way for a deeper, more integrated approach to emotional and physical wellness.

If you're new to NET or want to explore more, we invite you to dive deeper into the resources we’ve shared—and experience for yourself how NET can help bring emotional clarity, healing, and balance into your life.

Stay tuned for more stories, breakthroughs, and inspiration from the world of NET!
